Infant Care
Toddler Care
Policies

1.
Philosophy
I believe a child is
never too young to learn, never too old to laugh and never
undeserving of genuine praise and affection. I believe that children
grow and learn best in a home environment where they can enjoy a
relaxed, cozy, and secure setting. The working family scene can be
hectic, but with the right combination of childcare and parental
involvement it can be both a positive and enriching experience for
children, parents and caregivers.
Children are a blessing from God and I am always honored to have
such an active role in their lives. All children enrolled into my
care are treated with love and respect and provided with the
opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities.
2. OPEN
DOOR POLICY
At A Child’s Place
Childcare, you can always be assured that the door is open to you
Please feel free to drop in and check on your child, however, keep
in mind, a child just adjusting to a new surrounding will want leave
with you, if you pop in for a visit. Although unannounced parent
drop-ins are welcome and encouraged, please remember that from 11:00
until 3:30 is a very hectic time: lunch, clean up, nap, and snack.
It would be better to come before or after these times, unless
absolutely necessary .
Please keep in mind there may be times when it is not convenient for
me to run to the phone (i.e. diaper changing, bottle feeding, etc.).
If the phone goes unanswered please do not become alarmed, simply
leave me a message and I will call as soon as I am able. You may
also communicate with me via e-mail. There may be times when
something comes to you at work that you don't want to forget to
relay to me. If you have e-mail, please feel free to drop me a line,
and I will generally reply during rest time.
3. PARENT/ CAREGIVER COMMUNICATION
Communication is very
important to me. When I accept a new family into my business, I
like to be sure that we can share openly any concerns or questions
that may arise. It is important that there is a similar childcare
philosophy between us. I welcome questions, feedback, or discussions
of any kind that are oriented towards a positive outcome for the
child (ren). Sensitive issues will be discussed in private, outside
of regular childcare hours, either by telephone or conference.
Conferences will not be scheduled as a routine part of your child's
care, however, should you like to have a conference, you may request
one at any time.
4.
HOURS OF OPERATION
A Child's Place
will generally operate between the hours of
7:00am
and 5:30pm
Monday through Friday
with some flexibility depending on hours needed. Additional care can
be provided with prior approval from the provider.
5.
VACCINATIONS APPOINTMENT
Keep your child at home after vaccination.
We really don’t want to have your child fussy, or
with fever after their get their shots. Think about your child,
please make the appointment on afternoon, or plan your day to stay
with your child at home.
6.
NON-DISCRIMINATION
A Child's Place does not discriminate
